Machine features

A modern beam saw is an essential machine in a modern furniture factory. Because human-free production and excellent surface quality cannot be achieved with traditional technology. It is also important that the machine is fast and can be operated by one person.

The only critical factor is the feeding of the material into the machine. It can be a significant cost increase if one person is not enough to operate the machine and take advantage of the speed of a modern edgebanding machine.

In order to make the operation of the machine truly sufficient for one person, some kind of return table must be installed next to the machine. The best solution for this is the ETALON panel return device.

Operating principle

The machine operator stands at the feeding point of the edgebanding machine and places the furniture board into the machine according to the label on the material. In a traditional case, the operator would have to accompany the piece along the edgebander or wait at the other end of the machine for the finished edgebanding, then walk back to the front of the machine according to the next edge and place it back into the edgebanding machine. In order to reduce the auxiliary times, several people often operate the machine in a company. More operators are needed for edgebanding large boards.

The ETALON’s modern return system transfers the finished material at the end of the edgebander to an adjustable coated belt system, from which, after the sensors’ signal, it tilts the material onto the conveyor belt. Then it transfers it to the air cushion table at the end of the conveyor belt, next to the machine operator, so that it can be placed back into the edgebanding machine.

With this method, the feeding into the edgebander is continuous, and multiple materials can be in the machine at the same time. The possibility of errors is also reduced because the machine operator only needs to stand in one place and transfer the workpiece from the air cushion table to the machine, following the instructions on the label.
