Machine Specifications

The ETALON HIGHLINE beam saw machine has a robust, solid steel structure and technical solutions that allow for precise machining and accurate production while exceeding the performance of general beam saw machines.

However, the design of the frame is not only responsible for precise work. The quality of the materials used in production, the manufacturing technology, and careful design together guarantee the exceptionally long-term accuracy throughout its lifespan. Thanks to the ETALON technology, the truly robust (without any simplifications) machine frame resists twisting and warping typical of steel structures. In addition to the peace of mind provided by reliability, post-calibrations and corrections do not hinder production.

The ETALON HIGHLINE beam saw machine is equipped with a 22″ touchscreen monitor, which speeds up and facilitates data entry and work. There is no need for a mouse and keyboard to operate the machine, which are usually just in the way. The proprietary control software is also designed for touchscreen control, making it easy to operate the equipment even with gloves on, thanks to the large buttons.

In automatic mode, the machine operator receives visual instructions from the monitor on where and how many parts to insert until the start button is pressed. This is a great help to the machine operator and eliminates many possibilities for errors.

The clamping beam, like the other elements of the machine, is a solid steel construction. Its movement is performed by pneumatic cylinders, allowing the clamping force to be continuously adjustable with the regulator located at the front of the machine. It can cut sensitive materials with perfect cutting quality.

The parallel movement of the beam is ensured by a gear-rack transmission located on both sides. This ensures uniform clamping force throughout the entire cutting range, without any skew movement or deterioration in cutting quality.

The unit is equipped with suction along its entire length to minimize dust emission during operation. The gripping jaws are also covered with a dense comb to prevent chip marks.

The intelligent beam opens only minimally between cuts, greatly speeding up the cutting process, saving energy, and optimizing suction between cuts.

The central unit of the beam saw machine is the high-speed saw carriage. Its design in the case of the ETALON HIGHLINE is fully focused on maximizing the user’s production efficiency.

The specially developed hardened, ground linear bearing system ensures perfect guidance and resonance-free operation for precise machining, resulting in perfectly dimensioned workpieces without cutting errors! We provide a 5-year warranty for the linear units. Even the basic design features of the cutting head maximize efficiency.

The scoring unit ensures perfect cutting quality, with a separate drive providing greater power and operational reliability, which can be switched off at any time. The cutting height adjustment is accurate to 0.02 millimeters for both the main saw and scoring saw.

The movement of the carriage is provided by a high-performance Siemens servo drive, through a gear-rack transmission, eliminating the need for lubrication even in dusty environments.

The carriage speed is continuously adjustable from 1 to 120 meters per minute via software. Additionally, the machine automatically reduces the cutting speed based on the stack thickness according to a predefined function. The cutting length is also optimized, so the carriage does not unnecessarily move in the air, only under the material to be cut.

The clamping system, also known as the workpiece mover, also moves on hardened linear bearings (uniquely in its price range). There is no wear, no dimensional errors. Its insertion speed is 80 meters per minute (retraction, EU standard is 25 meters per minute). The rubber-coated jaws grip the material without damage or slippage, with easily adjustable clamping force.

The position measurement is double feedback, with the Siemens servo drive providing exceptional dimensional accuracy. This dimension is checked using a magnetic tape measure. Cutting can only occur when the two dimensions match. The guaranteed cutting accuracy is practically 0.1 mm.

Easy and fast movement of furniture boards and other processed boards is an integral part of the high production volume and ergonomics of the horizontal panel saw machine. The rollers and rounded surfaces located at the ends of the tables facilitate the placement of furniture boards and protect the surface of the boards. The movement on the tables is made easy and fast by the air cushion design.

The air cushion tables that facilitate the movement of workpieces can be easily moved and fixed while standing in front of the table. The long service life of this element is guaranteed by linear bearings. The first air cushion table is equipped with three control buttons (cycle start, cycle stop, and emergency stop), making it easy to operate the panel saw machine, even when the entire board is placed on the table.

Proper scrap management is an essential part of a well-functioning panel saw workshop. To achieve this, the useful minimum size of the scrap can be set in the office software. Pieces smaller than this are treated as waste, while larger pieces are treated as scrap. The software automatically uses the scraps for later cuts (if enabled), without the need for the program operator to search among the scraps. It can be set to prioritize the use of scraps, so that the scraps are continuously used in the workshop.

Finding scrap material within the facility is often a difficult task. However, the ETALON HIGHLINE also prints a label on the scrap board. The design of the label is such that it is visible from three sides when attached to the edge of the scrap material, making it easier to search. Before use, the panel saw machine indicates which scrap should be inserted.

The ETALON HIGHLINE can be purchased with a Zebra brand label printer. Like other elements of the machine, it represents leading quality in its category.
The label separation function of the label printer greatly facilitates operation. The machine issues the label when the cutting of the respective piece occurs, so it can be immediately attached and not mixed with other pieces. However, it does not issue the next label until the operator removes the previous one from the printer.

The printing is done on removable labels, in selectable sizes.
No ink cartridge is required for printing, as it prints on thermal paper, making it maintenance-free. In addition to the most important information about size and workpiece data, the label also features a unique company logo tailored to the customer’s individual needs. The display of the edge closure is done graphically, minimizing the possibility of errors during post-processing.

Our proprietary, Hungarian-language, Windows-based machine control software, which includes the following main menu items:

Manual mode: Allows for special operations such as cutting from the back or cutting with an open clamp.

Semi-automatic mode: For quick and easy marking of the raw material, multiple sizes and quantities can be specified. Finished products can be produced by rotating the raw material.

Automatic mode: Optimized panel plans can be run in the office software. The equipment provides graphical instructions to the operator in a fully automatic manner, in order to quickly and error-free produce the final product.

Printing: Printing can be easily turned on and off with the label printer module, and the information on the label can be easily added or deleted using the editor. The label size can also be changed.

Diagnostic: Displays periodically occurring errors that hinder the operation of the panel saw machine, greatly facilitating quick diagnosis and assisting in finding a solution. Remote diagnostics can also be performed when connected to a network.

Machine manual: The machine manual can be opened with a single click from the control software.

Settings: A simple, clean interface where settings such as the pre-cutting disc or the side clamp on/off and the percentage of feed can be accessed. These settings are also available from the information bar on the screen.

Panel editor: New panel plans can be quickly created directly from the control panel.

Optimization: As an additional option, a full-featured optimization software can be installed on the panel saw machine.

A professional office optimization software is an important part of modern beam saw workshops, so an office software can also be purchased with the ETALON HIGHLINE.

A well-configured office software performs almost all tasks for the operator, and since optimization does not need to be done on the panel saw machine, it does not hinder production. The material list requested from customers in tabular format can be loaded into the program with a single click, and after optimizing the panel plan, it can be sent directly to the panel saw machine and cutting can begin immediately. Of course, much more happens in the background. The software selects the most optimal yield (taking into account the ease of cutting on the machine), but this can also be modified by the operator according to individual needs. The system examines whether the work can be combined with other orders and also strives to have multiple identical panel plans, thus speeding up production with overlapping panels.
